The economy is, plain and simple, bad and a lot of people are looking for some at home jobs where they can increase their income a little here and there to meet the rising cost of, well, everything.

There are a lot of things you can do at home to make a little extra money and they all require a few certain things:

Time - You will have to invest your free time, sometimes quite a bit of it, to make that extra money at home. Normally there is more invested at first because you need to find the work and get used to what it involves but that eases up over time as you become more accustomed to the routine.

Computer - If you are reading this, you're good to go. You will need a computer with a good Internet connection so you can perform the work.

MS Office - You will need, depending on the work involved, MS Word and maybe MS Excel for a lot of online at home jobs. Those are the standard and you will need to have them and know how to use them to a certain degree.

Patience - You will need a lot of this because you won't jump in right away and start making the big bucks, it's takes a while, sometimes even months to really get going. At home jobs are not a way to get rich quick or otherwise really, just a great way to supplement your income.

PayPal Account - If you want to get paid, that is the safest and fastest way to go about it. You can even get a PayPal debit type card if you want to use it like a bankcard.

When you first start to look for at home jobs, play to your strengths and remember that the Internet is not the real world. Normal types of communication are limited because a great many of the people with whom you'll be working may not speak your language as a primary language. Always be sure to clarify any instructions if you are not sure because a language mishap can cause problems down the line.

Expect to start off really slowly because finding the right at home job with the right people takes a little bit of time since you have to shuffle through all the scam offers.
