Jobs For Stay At Home Mothers

Staying at home and being able to raise their kids for themselves is a dream that seems to becoming farther and farther out of reach for many mothers. Because of today's high costs of living, most parents are finding that they need two incomes just to keep the household running. And for single mothers, the dream seems like one that will never become a reality.

But if you're a mother who wants to stay at home with your kids, or are already a stay at home mother, there are lots of jobs that you can do! Jobs for stay at home mothers are plentiful! All you need are some great ideas!

The most obvious job for stay at home mothers is running a day care through the home. Like stated above, many parents are out of the home on a full-time basis and need someone to watch their children when they can't. Many of these parents are starting to take advantage of smaller, in-home daycares because they are usually cheaper than the larger daycares. Parents also like to know that their child will be in a smaller setting, with fewer children, and more attention paid to their child specifically.

If you don't like the idea of taking care of more children or don't have the space to run a daycare, you may want to think about becoming a seamstress. Working as a seamstress is a great job for stay at home mothers! Customers can just drop off whatever they need hemmed, sewn, or repaired and pick it up at their convenience. It also allows you the opportunity to do something you love while taking care of your kids! Moms are always sewing their own kids' clothes anyway; why not get paid to do it?

If you don't have a knack for sewing and know another stay at home mom who's looking for a job, you could consider cleaning houses. People are so busy these days and their lives could be greatly helped by hiring a cleaning person who could come in and tidy up their homes, either while they're there or while they're at work.

Because you won't be able to bring your children along on your jobs, you will need another stay at home mother who will watch your children for you while you go to work. Finding another stay at home that's looking for work is the perfect solution for this.

Trade days when one of you is staying at home and watching the kids and the other goes out and cleans houses. Charge the same amount for each home, or work it so that bigger (and more expensive to clean homes) are split evenly between you two so that you both get paid your fair share. This is a great job for stay at home mothers - you get a job and a free babysitter all in one!

There are many jobs for stay at home mothers that can be found online as well. Either start your own blog or take advantage of one of the many writing opportunities online. Starting a blog can be great if you have something that you're passionate about because all you have to do is write about it! And if you have a way with words, there are tons of sites that bring writers and clients together so that you can get the work you need to keep your family afloat!

Although it may seem that being a working stay at home mother is an impossibility, nothing could be farther from the truth! Using your own imagination and doing some soul-searching as to what you love and what you're good at will quickly lead you to the perfect stay at home mom job for you!
