You're in business for yourself and others hire you to provide a service. Once that service is finished, your work with them is completed until the next time they need you.

Always there is that fear or doubt when starting as you are not certain that you would fit or can do the job. The way I see it is to start on simple jobs and as you gather experience then you would muster confidence to do other endeavors. But finding that out takes varying deal of time, effort and resources.
