While some of these ideas may not seem like what you'd consider a homebased business, these are viable options for earning extra income and getting cash in your hands almost immediately. Obviously, for continued financial security, you'll probably want to pursue other home based business options, but if you need money right away, you might consider some of the following.
1. Cash in recyclables. Cans and other metals, bottles (in some areas), even newspapers can garner you extra income quickly if you have enough of them. A lot of non-profit organizations use this as a very successful ongoing fundraiser by asking everyone they know to contribute cans, in particular.
2. Sell a junk car. If you have an old clunker that's sitting in the driveway and hasn't been driven in 15 years, let it earn you some extra income. Call a junkyard and see if they'll haul it off. Most of them will pay you up to $100 for the value in the metal and parts.
3. Clean out your garage and anyone else's who'll let you. With free advertising resources like Craigslist, you can sell things you and your friends no longer want or need to earn extra income fast. And if you enjoy doing this, it can become a very profitable home based business, especially if you can find people to donate their unwanted items to you to sell.
4. Become an online content writer. There are several websites that offer almost unlimited options for a reasonably talented writer to earn extra income selling his words. Typically, you'll need to register for the site, submit a sample article, and then be approved before you begin. But you can be writing articles and earning cash easily by week's end. And the greater following you build, the more you'll earn in most cases since many of the sites also offer incentives for getting more readers.
5. Sell your services. If you can mow a lawn, load a moving van, repair a car, deliver groceries, cook a meal, babysit, tutor, or any number of other things, you can easily begin to earn extra income right away. Call friends and family members to offer your services for pay. If they can't hire you, ask them if they know someone else who might. Diligence and hard work can quickly pay off in the form on extra cash.
6. Earn extra income on clothes you never wear anymore. Simply go through your closets and find items that are in good condition with no stains or tears, and take them to a local consignment shop. While this may be a bit slower process, you should still be able to earn some money within a week or two at the outside.
There are more desperate measures for getting extra income such as selling your blood to a local blood bank, selling your car or furniture, or getting a title loan on a vehicle. But with even a little planning, one of these less drastic options should help you get some added cash fast enough to see you through a crisis.
Money; without this little green piece of paper where would we all be? People are scrambling more now than ever to secure their financial futures. Making money from a home business or a home based career can keep those little green pieces of paper constantly flowing; you just need to know where to start.
The best way to keep the cash flow coming is start a home business or find a work from home job opportunity. Easier said than done but it is possible. There are millions of opportunities out there just waiting for you to discover them.
There are ways to build wealth that do not involve going to work at an office, building, store or field for 8 to 10 hours a day. There are ways you can stay at home and work to make money to pay your bills and live decently. However, no matter what you read online or see on a TV commercial, nothing happens overnight or without a lot of work, effort, and risk.
The best way to earn some extra cash from home is to participate in an affiliate program. Your goal with this is to build a residual income that will virtually run itself over time. Affiliate marketing is where you offer someone else's product on your site and when someone clicks on the product and purchases it, you receive a commission. Easy, right?
These type of plans work, sometimes and they depend on how dedicated you are to selling and promoting the products. You have to work on getting the product out to the masses and this requires some hard work. Once you have your system in place though, you can sit back and earn the residuals.
To participate in some of these types of moneymaking programs you need to have a website, without it, you won't have anywhere to direct customers. Some affiliate programs will provide you with free websites though like the one here. It is still best to eventually create your own website to promote all your products and services from.
You can find many hosting companies that offer extremely cheap fees to host your site. It's best to do this first before applying to most affiliate programs. It is also helpful to make sure you have content on the page in relation to what you would like to sell.
The other important aspect of affiliate marketing is to choose the right product to sell. Most products will be a one-time purchase, so it's not really considered residual earnings. You need to find a product or a service where the customer may need to renew after a given time, thus providing you with a residual earning over time. Services just like the web host you will need will accomplish this.
While searching for your favorite product and an affiliate program, be aware of scams. Do your homework before choosing a company and check to make sure the company is accredited in one way or another. Another key to knowing if the company is legitimate is if they offer a contract for you to participate in their service. Most will have you fill out a W-9 form and sign a contract before you are accepted.

The Internet is made up of websites, plain and simple, this is what makes the Internet and this is the easiest way for someone to start out making money online. Almost every website you go to has some form of advertising on it and sometimes it looks as if there's more advertising than anything else. For each ad there is online, there is someone who is making money off the use of those ads.
Why shouldn't you get in on some of that action? It's not hard to do, and it's something you can do in your free time. A website is easy to set up, easy to maintain and the only thing you have to do is keep it up to date. The most important thing you need to do if you choose this route, is decide on what the website will be about.
This is called finding your "niche" and your niche is what your website will be all about. You have to find something you know about in some way and you won't get tired talking about for a long time to come. Your website will become something of a passion over time and once you start making money online with it, you'll get addicted to it.
How do you make money online with a website? The most common way is through the ads on the site. There are programs available online that allow you to place targeted ads on your website and when someone clicks on one of those ads, you get a little bit of money. It's not a way to get rich quick, but it can make a decent bit of money.
Google has a great program called AdSense. It's totally free to use and you sign up for an account, choose the style of ads you want to have appear on your website and then you place it on your site. The ads will all be targeted to the content on your website so you have to make sure the content on your site is updated and follow your niche.
There are also affiliate programs you can join and these tend to pay a little better then the pay per click ads through Google. With some of these programs, you get a kickback whenever someone signs up or buys whatever lies at the other end of the ad on your website.
Hosting giveaways on your site, as long as it relates to your niche, is another great way to drum up traffic to the site and this means more people may leave the site through an ad, which makes you more money. These tend to be great because they bring people into your site and, if your content is good, they will come back again and again.
Making money online through a website is also great because you are your own boss and have complete creative control, something many of us don't have in traditional jobs. If you put in the time to place the ads correctly, build good affiliate relationships and hit up the social networking sites on a regular basis, you can and will generate a nice solid income.
